Packer's Draft

The packers had one of the most underrated drafts over the weekend. The first pick Jordy Nelson is a big, athletic receiver that the is required for the Z position of the west coast offense. He also is an explosive returner who will help with special teams. Brian Brohm is a smart, efficient quarterback who is NFL ready now and will only continue to get better. Plus competition with Aaron Rodgers will only benifit them both. Next Patrick Lee is a big, physical, and quick corner who fits the Packers bump-and-run defense. He will be groomed by Harris and Woodson. Jermichael Finley is an athletic tight-end who can stretch the seem which is vital to succeed in the west coast offense. Jeremy Thompson is a good pass-rusher who can take over for KGB who is owed 3 million bucks and is now 30 years old. O-linemen Sitton and Giacomini have great potential and have time to develop behind the current starters. Flynn will be a great practice squad additon who could eventually develop into a decent backup QB 3-4 years down the road. Brett Swain is fast and could be another practice squad guy.

Warning Politics, not football

Damn, she pulled it out. Damn. I am a registered Democrat and I am just pulling out my hair watching this race. John McCain is sitting pretty watching Hiliary and Barrack duke it out, splitting the party in two. He can just go around and raise money, attack the democratic canidates while they are still fighting, and make publicity appearances. Damn. I hope Hiliary runs out of money soon because a fight that continues to the Democratic Convention will lead to John McCain winning the presidency easy. I can't stand John McCain because he basically an old replica of the clown in the Oval Office now. He supports the war in Iraq, believes in the Bush economic policies that led to the reccession, and is frankly too old to be reliable for the next four years (he's no Reagan). So lets pray for the race to ends soon or else.

Miami

Boy I would hate to be the Miami Dolphins since they have a horrible draft situation. They desperately want to trade down because there is not a true #1 pick in this draft but there are no takers. Tisk Tisk. Jake Long would be a solid addition but I think the first pick overall would be a reach. He'll never be an Orlando Pace (the last tackle to be picked first overall). Chris Long is a solid football player but he's a defensive end and you don't spend tens-of-millions of dollars on a DE for a 3-4 defense. He's a good but not an outstanding, franchise caliber player. With Ronnie Brown showing promise and only being drafted second overall 3 years ago, McFadden would be a dumb selection. It would be like the New Orland Saints who believe in dumping over 10 million a year on two guys playing the same position when the defense is weaker than a wet noodle (remember defense wins championships). The last player who is possible is Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan reminds me much of Matt Leinart without the superhuman supporting cast. He is intelligent, has great intangibles, but is not physically a franchise quarterback. He will be a solid quarterback in the pros but will never be confused with the likes of Brady and Manning. I will admit that some physically challenged players have made it such as Brees, but its a longshot that Ryan will ever be close to Brees. So thats what I have to say about the Dolphin's draft situation.

Justin Smith

The Justin Smith signing was the worst piece of s*** i have seen this year. Justin Smith will do NOTHING with the 49ers because he is a 4-3 defensive end not a 3-4 anything. With the Bengals he was good but never great. He is not worth 45 million over 6 years with 20 million guaranteed. WTF!!!!

Dear Tommy Kelly

Dear Tommy Kelly,
Congratulations man, you really suckered the dumb-ass Raiders and their senile old owner, Al Davis. You played 7 games last year recording 30 tackles and 1 sack and you get a 50.5 million dollar deal over 7 years with 18.125 million guaranteed. Wow dude I wish I was with the Raiders; I could probably get 1 million dollars by just telling old-man Davis that I play football.
Once again, you and your agent are amazing, getting money we all know you don't deserve.
Love,
Crazy Joe
